Twentyfirst environmental policy

Twentyfirst are a part of the Good Agency group, comprising of Twentyfirst and the Good Agency.

We believe in a world that is greener, fairer, healthier and happier. Working with charities, NGOs, government, associations and commercial organisations.

At Twentyfirst we have a policy of operating eco-friendly production services. We recognise our day-to-day activities potentially have a major impact on the environment in which we operate. Therefore we have adopted a number of eco activities to include the following:

Friendly office

Our office offers a number of environmental benefits such as motion sensitive lighting and recycling bins. Our location means that we have a host of public transport alternatives quite literally on our doorstep including overland and underground stations and a plethora of bus routes, minimising our dependence on cars and taxis.

• We minimise printing of documentation and unnecessary paperwork.
• We seek to use recycled materials and office stationery where possible.
• We seek to re use elements of projects where possible to minimise production waste.
• We aim to keep the team aware of new working methods and products that will enable us to be competitive, efficient and responsible in all our working practices.

Friendly suppliers

Twentyfirst use a courier facility offering a hybrid eco transport. We have formed a number of long-term relationships with suppliers who adopt environmentally friendly working practices with the goods and equipment essential to the production process. These include:

AV: Sound & Lighting

A large proportion of the lighting is based on LED technology. LED’s are renowned for using less energy, therefore giving off less heat, which has lesser impact on the environment.

Their long lifespan ensures reliability. Twentyfirst also, where possible, use low voltage PA systems in order to benefit from reduced carbon emissions.

Staging

Twentyfirst have a special relationship with set builders/suppliers, who are renowned for using sustainability-sourced materials and/or re-using materials for building, or generating energy so that little or nothing goes to landfill.

One in particular has installed a waste burner that complies with all EU emission ratings, both current and within all known future EU legislation due to come into force.

They plant five trees per month in the company grounds and re-use planting from projects where possible in the company grounds.
